Minecraft Default Texture Pack: Restore the Classic Look

In 2009 when Minecraft was released for the 1st time.  The textures were very basic because the game was focused on the gameplay experience. In 2018, Minecraft got a big texture update. The new textures were cleaner and a bit more detailed, but they still kept the same simple look. This change made the game look a little better, but the basic style remained.

It is very important because it makes the game world look good. They help players understand different things in the game, for example if you are mining you will see and differentiate the things easily like soil, coal, diamond, etc. you will play the game without any confusion.

You can easily change the textures in Minecraft if you don’t like the default texture. You can use different texture packs to make the game look great. Some texture makes the game more realistic, cartoonish, or even futuristic. 

You can change the texture by just following these steps:

Find a Texture Pack

You can find textures online, some of them are free and available and some of them are paid which you can buy. You will find them on Minecraft’s official store.

Install the Pack

  • Open Minecraft and go to settings.
  • Find the resource pack and click on it.
  • Then, click Open Pack Folder and place the texture pack you downloaded into this folder.

Activate the pack 

Once you are done with downloading the pack then go back to the game you will find the texture pack in the resource pack section, you just have to turn it on.
